Retail Services Audit Oversight, Program Management and Governance Lead VP

A role in the Business Operations Governance - Exam & Audit Management team affords an opportunity to learn about the various functions in the Citi Retail Services (CRS) and other lines of business within Citi. The position is unique in that it will afford the candidate opportunities within many separate aspects of the Exam & Audit Management spectrum of work, which includes the assessment of issue relevance, analysis of common data trends across various entities and effective challenges of deliverables requested by internal audit, external audit, compliance, and regulators.

Responsibilities:

• The primary area of focus for this role will be internal /external audits and reviews by other examination entities.

• Manage the preparation of deliverables, samples and other data requested for exams or audits of or involving the Business Operations organization.

• Determine what level of information is responsive to each request and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of that information and associated message across US Consumer Bank Risk organizations.

• Understand where similar information may have been requested for previous exams and leveraging that understanding and data to respond to current requests appropriately and efficiently.

• Ensure any data related deliverables have been appropriately checked and reviewed such that no erroneous data elements are shared with reviewers.

• Follow-up and coordination of efforts to address questions and other requests during exams or audits.

• Interactions with the business and other groups to address an ongoing stream of questions and requests made by internal audit teams and other internal examination entities.

• Regular attendance at a variety of meetings that focus on resolving and remediation of problems that the business encounters.

• Participation and management of other more ad-hoc concerns that may impact the Exam and Audit team.

• Develop a foundation, environment, and structured processes to be leveraged for ongoing execution of Exam Management activities including: Leveraging best practices used across the organizations and lines of business that Risk interacts with, storing exam related information in a consistent manner such that similar documentation can easily be searched, identified, and retrieved, and understanding where similar requests have surfaced in previous exams and providing guidance on how such requests should be responded too.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of prior experience in banking and financial Independent Assessment (audit, exams and testing) and Operational Risk management required.

• 3-5 years knowledge, experience with application of banking regulations, policy and procedures aligned to audits, exams and testing required

• Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and analytic skills

• Excellent relationship and project management skills

• History of interactions with both Internal and External Regulators desired

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
