Financial Reporting Manager – Credit Risk

Prudential Reporting team within Finance is responsible for capital adequacy calculation as per actual Basel rules. Prudential team ensures the accurate monitoring and reporting of capital ratios to several stakeholders including senior management, business leads and regulators.

As part of the team of diverse and supportive professionals, the main tasks are concerned with counterparty credit risk reporting for a large EMEA investment bank working with a wide range of financial products closely collaborating with Traders, Middle Office London and Policy team.

In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:

  • Team management responsibility for a team of supervisors, analysts, including recruitment, goal setting, performance evaluation;
  • Oversee and manager review the production and delivery of the daily, monthly and quarterly returns for United Kingdom;
  • Maintenance and further development of key controls including reconciliations, variance analysis and mapping reviews;
  • Liaising with multiple departments (including Data Services, Financial Control, Risk Departments, Traders, Financial planning etc.) to coordinate reporting and resolve issues;
  • Provide support to Country Finance team located in London or any other team on an ad-hoc basis (e.g. audits, regulatory inquiries);
  • Check and ensure that procedures, policies and responsibility matrixes are applied to adequately cover rules and regulations;
  • Ongoing review and development of processes to increase efficiency on a long term;
  • Timely escalation of risks and issues related to project and BAU reporting;
  • Participation in regulatory changes implementation including Q&A’s issued by the regulator
  • Complete additionally any other tasks in connection with the role but not detailed in the current job description, charged by the direct manager or the functional head;

Management Responsibilities:

  • Coach and manage the Credit Risk Team (8-10 people);
  • Hire and retain talents;
  • Involvement in site-level initiatives;

The ideal candidate for this position preferably possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • 7+ years of work experience in financial, regulatory or risk reporting / auditing roles
  • Prior experience in a regulatory reporting role is an advantage.
  • Accounting and/or Financial reporting and/or risk reporting experience.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of people across different functions and varying levels of seniority
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver on tasks with tight deadlines
  • Good organizational and presentation skills
  • Prior knowledge of Citi legal entity processes, systems and data structures would be an asset;
