Financial Reporting Senior Analyst– Liquidity Reporting

The Liquidity Reporting Team, which is part of the EMEA Regulatory Reporting Centre in Budapest is looking for a Reporting Senior Analyst who cover CRD IV liquidity related templates including PRA110, LCR, NSFR, ALMM and Asset encumbrance returns. The center is a key part of Citi’s Finance function on global scale and offers excellent career opportunities for financial reporting professionals. As part of the team of diverse and supportive professionals, the main tasks are concerned with the generation, tracking and submission of regulatory liquidity reports to the Regulators. The overall objective of this role is to accurately prepare reports and statements in accordance with regulatory guidelines


In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:

  • Production & delivery of daily, monthly & quarterly Liquidity regulatory returns and monitoring reports
  • Maintenance and further enhancement of controls & reports including reconciliations, adjustments & variance analysis
  • Create and analyze / supervise various reports that detail important aspects of the bank’s liquidity and risk profiles for the central banks, regulators and any supervisory bodies
  • Participate in efficiency and innovation projects on ad hoc basis by reviewing and developing current processes using advanced digitalization tools.
  • Ongoing review of current processes and controls to gain and increase efficiency
  • Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events
  • Produce metrics to senior management highlighting key issues and remediation status and maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures
  • Provide support to Corporate Treasury an ad-hoc basis (e.g. audits, regulatory inquiries)
  • Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects
  • Assist with the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products
  • Involvement in new system implementations and working with Technology on enhancements to existing system
  • Participate in future process migrations from new countries
  • Liaise with multiple departments of the covered countries (including Financial Control, Treasury, Risk and Technology departments) to resolve issues


The ideal candidate for this position preferably possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Financial Services Industry and Project Management experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
  • Ability to work with multiple functions
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
