In each of these countries the Central Banks and other financial regulatory bodies require the timely and accurate reporting of key monetary statistics that give information about the whole economy and ensuring that capital adequacy standards are met so that banks can defend the economy from the spill over effects in case of a financial crisis.

As part of the team of diverse and supportive professionals, the main tasks are concerned with the preparation and analysis of detailed FINREP and other regulatory reports and ensure accurate and consistent monitoring and reporting across multiple legal vehicles, spanning several countries.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the production and delivery of IFRS & US GAAP based Financial Statements of the Banking Chain regulated entities and regulatory reporting.

  • Prepare different types of reports; reconciliations and analysis with commentary for the numerous stakeholders including senior management.

  • Support the production of the Company and Group FinRep and other regulatory reporting by providing support and guidance.

  • Communicate updates; map changes; impacts of new business/deals to enable effective reporting to the regulator. 

  • Perform various control functions within financial and regulatory reporting.

  • Significant contribution to Finance projects and initiatives.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified/or Part Qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, or equivalent) trained within a Big 4 professional services firm or multinational bank. Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP Accounting Standards is preferred.

  • Experience in Financial Services/Banking industry including strong knowledge of Banking Products for e.g. Different types of Loans/ Deposits/ Derivatives (essential).

  • Financial Statements production  experience with the ability to manipulate large datasets in Excel and produce analysis from different viewpoints.

  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel is essential.

  • Excellent communication skills in English. Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to make decisions based on imperfect information, able to explain and stand behind these decisions.

  • Problem Solver and Team player. Ability to identify gaps, propose solutions and improve to make processes efficient.

  • Ability to explain complex financial scenarios in easy to understand language.
