Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker for its Houston, TX location.

Duties: Supports U.S. and International Upstream and Midstream business lines. Responsible for technical and financial evaluation of client oil and gas assets including type curve creation, geology and geophysics, reserve estimation, base and upside evaluation, risk assessment, facility constraints and requirements, development planning, developing economic assumptions and running single-well and project level economics. Attend internal and external meetings supporting client coverage and generation of new business ideas. Lead technical execution of buyside and sellside pitches and mandates while providing engineering analysis, guidance, review and mentorship to junior technical team members. Generate technical portions of the information memorandum with specific focus on the base and upside cases in addition to overviews describing land and contracts, geology and geophysics, production, reserves, joint ventures, facilities, midstream and marketing. Contribute to data room preparation and review confidential materials for completeness and accuracy. Lead technical/engineering workflows to create type curves by identifying well subsets using vintage, completion technique and spatially distributed geologic/petrophysical parameters. Conduct estimation of single well economics and assessment of technical risk in economic valuations. Build reserves database including decline curve analysis (DCA) on existing producers, incorporating upside potential from engineering analysis, calculate LOE and price differentials from historical data, and confirming WI and NRI. Marketing of oil and gas assets to potential buyers. Maintain working knowledge of industry activity and trends, commodity prices and latest developments in technology. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policy.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Petroleum Engineering, or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Petroleum engineering experience with upstream energy companies or energy investment banks; Technical reservoir engineering experience including multiple U.S. conventional and unconventional assets and basins, decline curve analysis, type well review, geologic trends, inventory analysis, petroleum reserves estimation and economic valuations; Utilizing ARIES, PHDWIN, Spotfire, Enverus Prism, and Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access); and Technical oil and gas software platforms including Petrel, Eclipse, ArcGIS and Wood Mackenzie. 40 hrs./wk. 15% Domestic and international travel required.
