BI/Tableau Engineer/Architect C13 – Irving, Tx or Tampa, FL(Hybrid)

Role Description:

Global Functions Technology (GFT) , Finance and Risk data technology  team is looking for a BI Data Scientist/Architect and Tableau Lead who will play a key role in design, develop and delivering key metrics for the Genesis platform. As a Tableau architect, your duties include consulting with other designers, end-users, and managers to determine the scope and need for different data visualization tools and then develop these tools and ensure their proper configuration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of Tableau reporting solutions. Design and create data visualizations (reports and dashboards) as required to support user stories, including UI/visualization aspects.
• Implementing best practices in terms of design and architecture of the visualization dashboards.
• Create Workbooks and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources and Data Connections
• Work with product managers and business and understand the data requirements, and iteratively design visualizations for customer presentation.
• Perform detailed data analysis and create optimized solutions to pull data into to Tableau.
• Design and create data visualizations (reports and dashboards) as required to support user stories, including UI/visualization aspects.
• Create Tableau Calculations (Table Calculations, Hide Columns, Creating/Using Parameter, Totals) and Formatting (Annotations, Layout Containers, Mark Labels, Rich Text Formatting, Shared Encoding) using Tableau Desktop.  
• Integrate the tableau reports with Angular and other GUIs by invoking Tableau reports using parameterized api calls.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience with Business Intelligence development in Tableau
• 6+ years experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture. Able to manipulate and blend data to design dashboards and visualization.
• Strong knowledge of Tableau server architecture and applying business rules and data validations. Implementing data and report level access controls and entitlements.
• 2-3 years experience manipulating and analyzing complex high volume high dimensionality data from varying sources and excellent analytical skills to forecast and predict trends and insights using past and current data.
• Strong knowledge of formal database architecture and design
• Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
• Prior experience in using Tableau prep , extracts using hyper APIs, story boards.
• Strong communications skills for business and technology stakeholder

Preferences

• Tableau Desktop certification preferred.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
