Senior QA Test Lead for Payments and Receivables - SVP
Senior Quality Engineering Lead position will possess extensive experience in testing within Financial Services and in-depth knowledge of testing methodologies across diverse Payment Platforms and Payment Flows. This role requires a leader who can combine quality and execution ownership with test engineering transformation leadership in an agile delivery environment. He/she will lead the hands-on implementation of test and quality engineering solutions across a diverse application portfolio and will be responsible for overseeing the definition, selection and implementation of test architecture, frameworks, code quality tools, and automation testing strategies for Payments applications.
The Senior Testing Lead is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in software test and quality disciplines and adapts them for application within this role. Excellent communication skills required in order to engage and negotiate internally at a senior level. Strong collaborative and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular key stakeholders within Product and Operations functions. Necessitates and drives a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Responsible for handling team management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the teams/projects.
Senior quality engineering leader who demonstrates proven expertise across Payments landscape such as in Core Payments Processing, Instant Payments, High Value Payments And Bulk Payments. She/He will require excellent communication skills, an analytical approach to problem solving and driving continuous quality improvements throughout the Agile software development process.
Builds strong collaborative relationship and credibility with key software development partners and will forge a transformative path to target-state agile delivery process (sprint-based delivery, BDD, in-sprint automated testing, CI, Jenkins, continuous regression).
Leads design and architectural reviews of test and quality solutions across project teams and oversees execution of the automation roadmap, tools, framework & approach. Defines and publishes key performance metrics for automated testing.
Subject matter expertise in automated testing disciplines. Provides leadership, guidance and mentoring to implement innovative test and quality solutions across Payments application teams. Understands primary models of test automation frameworks, (i.e. data driven, keyword driven, hybrid, and behavior driven) and experience in open-source solutions such as Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, Ranorex, Jmeter, BlazeMeter, Postman, etc.
Leads and supports quality engineers who are responsible for functional, automation and regression testing and all initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production.
Ensures the Quality Engineering organization is defining and implementing its IT Quality control plans to meet business strategy and goals. Drives continuous improvement initiatives across the testing life cycle through ongoing test coverage enhancements with a strong focus on stability/resiliency of mission critical payments platforms.
He/she will possess a broad knowledge of industry best practices and trends in test transformation and will assume ownership for evolving Payments test automation skills through defined SDET training programs and mentoring/training of test teams.
14+ years experience in an IT Quality role with substantial experience in a senior technology leadership role. Developed communication skills to negotiate with others at a senior level.
- Must have strong career history in Financial, Payments Eco-System Domain, any direct Payments and Receivables is highly preferable.
- Must have strong career history in Leading major technical automation testing initiatives.
- Must be a strong hands-on Tester and proficient with tools like Selenium, BDD, Cucumber, and/or similar testing tools.
- Deep technical expertise and knowledge of industry testing trends and an understanding of what best practice means in running large scale technology environments. A senior change leader, who recruits, develops, retains, manages, and inspires exceptional talents, building solid relationships.
Strategic leader, able to operate as a partner to senior business stakeholders. Operates with high energy and a desire to contribute in building a world-class testing organization that is coordinated and seamless across geographies and cultures. Expertise in building and leading high performing teams, setting high performance expectations and fostering collaboration and team building.
Demonstrated test process management skills with experience of quality and operational processes and procedures.
