Technical Architect - Machine Learning - Director (hybrid)
This is a Director level role managing a small team, up to 6, of developers. This is a very hands on tech role working on developing apps within Markets (FX, Rates, Derivates, Commodities etc) Risk and Controls. This role is fairly new to the business and will require someone with AI and Machine Learning experience. You will have autonomy of driving new technology from POC to release. The applications used are to help manage all of our booking controls within markets including booking trades and anything that covers risk.
The primary tech stack we use is Python including Kuebernetes, OpenShift, Snowflake, AWS etc.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing architectural vision for all Risk & Controls applications.
Pilot development of controls based on analytic engines and model and expand it across business product lines for whole of Markets.
Develops architecture, strategy, planning, and problem-solving solutions on an enterprise level.
Interfaces across several channels, acting as a visionary to proactively assist in defining direction for future projects and simplifying the operating environment.
Leverage state of the art technologies and methodologies for controls creation and workflow and ensure the platforms are highly scalable, reliable and fault tolerant.
Improving the Markets Employee experience by simplifying the operating environment
Experience:
Experience in architecture, development, and delivery of cloud technologies.
Good understanding of enterprise architecture.
Experience in Python, R, Machine Learning tools and techniques.
Experience in cloud-native architectures and delivery of such solutions using microservices
Experience in agile methodologies, test driven development, CI/CD
Good understanding of HTTP and REST based architectures and experience in API development
Experience in relational databases and non-relational databases such as MongoDB
Experience in Java, Spring boot, Kubernetes, OpenShift and Amazon Web Services.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Management and prioritization skills
Ability to develop working relationships
Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly
Team Management:
Will be primarily IC (Individual contributor) role with potential to have a relatively small team.
