This role will be centered around treasury sales and relationship building within our Healthcare and Nonprofit industry verticals in Citi’s Commercial Bank. The key duties include originating new opportunities, winning new opportunities, defending existing business, realizing revenue from wins, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate with take an entrepreneurial attitude to rapidly integrate into their role. The Senior Treasury Sales Consultant is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. The individual needs to have strong communication and diplomacy skills are in order to guide, influence and convince external customers and inside the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, taking global / regional / local accountability for delivering Treasury solutions to clients
  • Responsible for actively calling on clients in partnership with partners across the bank to deepen relationships, proactively owning, responding to and anticipating future needs, challenges or risks, in addition to identifying and pursuing new clients aligned with CITI’s value proposition.
  • Act as the primary global point of contact and accountability for Treasury within Global / Regional/ local sales origination
  • Global / Regional / Local responsibility to grow the Treasury revenues; focused on finding new opportunities at emerging clients for the bank, while building trusted advisor status with Clients and Relationship Managers
  • Drives innovation on the solutions we provide clients while structuring deals to balance risk and reward.
  • Shares knowledge with other sales consultants and junior staff
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all time
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating close consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • A highly motivated and experienced senior Salesperson with a track record of prospecting new clients and driving new revenue within a large and growing portfolio of corporations.  The individual should have financial sales, payment partnerships, or corporate treasury experience.
  • The individual should put the customer at the center of any activities and able to operate at all levels within the client’s organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6-10 years commercial banking experience
  • Undergraduate business degree
  • Proven track record of supporting the growth of client relationships
