Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Trader for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Assist with a trading book and generate revenues and manage risk for the business. Design and implement various pricing methodologies, applying knowledge of financial engineering, statistics and calculus. Develop the risk appetite by determining the pricing methods for the new trades. Establish and maintain key relationships to deliver trades to the desk. Work with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure. Trade complex equity single stock derivative risks and design and execute hedging strategies by evaluating the various risk factors of the trading book. Manage single stock related event risks such as earnings, news release. Manage events specific to an exotic trading book including call notifications, barrier monitoring and monetization risk around barriers, single stock correlation risk. Work with Quant teams to design next generation risk management models and tools. Use statistics, calculus and programming techniques including VBA, Python, Excel to build risk management tools. Leverage transactional knowledge of the equity derivatives marketplace to execute trades using various futures, listed options, call vs calls. Utilize cross asset product knowledge to execute FX spots/options, rates futures, interest rate swaps and other non-equity instruments to hedge non-equity risks.

Requirements: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Financial Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must possess two (2) years of experience with all of the following: Managing equity derivatives risks including delta, vega, gamma, and theta; Managing life cycle events of exotic derivatives including autocall, expiry, and barrier event; Managing single stock related event risks including earnings and new releases; Trading listed options electronically or with inter-dealer brokers; Using programming software including Python and VBA to generate reports; Using derivatives pricing models including local vol model; Product knowledge in derivative products including accumulators and autocallables; and Utilizing Microsoft Excel to build risk management tools. 40 hrs./wk.
