TTS NAM Trade Receivables & Loans Product Manager - SVP
Treasury and Trade Solution (TTS) is part of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG). TTS is a leading provider of cash management, treasury, trade, clearing, depository receipts and commercial cards services. We provide clients with dynamic information, tools, and APIs to effectively manage their portfolios, financial positions, working capital and supply chains.
This role is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in Trade Receivables and Loans Product, ensuring those trends are considered with own job and the business. Further cultivates existing Product suite to ensure full client needs are met, while aligning to governance of the Trade Product Approval Program. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall P&L of Trade Receivables Finance in North America
Manage P&L; understand financials and engage with NA Finance partners on monthly reporting, outlook, month end results, budgeting, mid-year forecasting, and other ad hoc projects
Understand and manage funding model through engagement with Treasury and Finance; proactively communicate any changes in strategy or inputs (eg change in vector, LP, TP, etc.)
Monitor and track business drivers for pillar portfolio, including assets, facility utilization, spreads, attrition, revenues, etc.
Manage and monitor the overall performance of Receivables Finance Products in the region, including client experience, pricing, risk and distribution.
Implement performance improvement strategies, with a specific focus on cross-sell and integration, including the development of competitive analyses, market analyses, product development road maps, market plans, pricing strategies and product line extensions.
Build and strengthen strong relationships with NA Trade Sales and Trade Client Management teams; provide training, client escalation support, deal support, etc as needed
Identify potential clients in NA; work in partnership with origination groups to build a strong pipeline in NA; attend client meetings as appropriate
Participate in and prepare materials for the Local Country Addendums, attestation and related processes, ensure products are delivered and adhere to all parameters regionally, in line with Global Product Standards and specific requirements for the region.
Ensuring there are no product gaps internally and aim towards 100% straight through processing by having active co-ordination with O&T and Finance teams
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, legal, implementations, and sales to deliver solutions for Citi clients.
Participate in/facilitate product discussions with partners in asset distribution, legal, credit risk, operations and systems capabilities to ensure seamless delivery of program expansions.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Partner and assist country product managers on the day to day business, product discussions and specific region needs.
Responsible for Audits of the product and ensuring its satisfactory closures
Manage operational risk through regular reviews with Ops; proactively and promptly notify and escalate material issues and risks, such as control breaks, fraud events, etc to region and global pillar head
Participate in tech development through planning process and execution of key projects; ensure feedback from clients is sought and incorporated in planning process
Support the Global Deal Review process by ensuring guidelines and criteria followed on new and Renewal items.
Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree
8+ years of related experience
Project Management skills with experience leading large cross functional initiatives
Process Management knowledge with a propensity for detail and comprehensiveness of content
Direct experience in end-to-end project delivery, preferably in product development, and knowledge of various analytical tools including Tableau and Access
Generation of reports and presentations for senior management
Comfortable with performing data investigations that require a high degree of accuracy with tight timescales
Familiarity with product development methodologies
Proactively seeks and develops new opportunities
Attention to detail and process/analytic mindset
Ability to build networks and relationships internally and externally
Ability to create business analysis, troubleshoot data quality issues, and conduct exploratory and descriptive analysis of business datasets
